Java Central Partners

Founders Adel and Diane Shadi love comfortable and friendly coffee shops and for years had wanted to open one of their own. Westerville seemed the perfect place. In 2007 they invited brother Ed and his wife Reham to come to Westerville from California to share their vision.

In September, 2007, Java Central opened its doors. Westerville and the surrounding area soon discovered us and loved what they saw, and Java Central became well established. However, Ed and Reham discovered that they loved and missed Southern California, so the search was on for two new partners.

Jane and Ralph Denick were Java Central regulars who loved the ambience, the wonderful service and, of course, the best coffee around. In addition, they were longtime Westerville residents who truly believed in Uptown and wanted to be a part of it. When they heard of the opportunity to combine these interests, they jumped at it and became partners in early 2009.

After some renovations and adding music and art,we had our “Grand Re-opening” in March of 2009 to celebrate. We have been off and running ever since!

Who We Are

Java Central Coffee House is a large and comfortable coffee house that features custom roasted coffee, warm customer service, unique gifts and jewelry, art by local artists and free live music.
